Froese Reassigned to Toledo

Rockford, Ill. - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Wednesday that the Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Byron Froese from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

The 22-year-old forward was recalled to Rockford on March 13, and garnered two assists in nine contests. Froese appeared in 38 tilts for Toledo prior to joining Rockford, where he tallied 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points.

Chicago's fourth round draft pick (#119 overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft skated in 57 contests with the IceHogs a season ago, tallying four goals and six assists. Froese also registered a goal and assist in three tilts with the Walleye in 2011-12.

Next Home Game: Sunday, April 7 vs. Peoria Rivermen at 5:05 p.m. It's the Hogs 14th annual jersey auction as the IceHogs will don special "Abrahammy Lincoln" jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive a commemorative Abrahammy Lincoln coin, compliments of Lou Bachrodt.
