Friday's Falcons Game Postponed

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced the postponement of their game against the Albany Devils, originally scheduled for this Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m., due to the impending snowstorm forecasted to impact New England later this week.

"Due to the potential significance of the storm, we feel it is in the best interest of the safety of our fans to postpone the game," Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon said.

Friday's game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center. Tickets for Friday's contest will be valid on that date.

The Falcons' home game on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3:00 p.m. versus the Portland Pirates will be played as scheduled.

The club also announced that the press conference with team owner Charlie Pompea, slated for this Friday at 6:00 p.m., will now be held at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday prior to the Falcons' contest against the Pirates. The press conference, open to fans and media, will take place in the pre-function space outside of the meeting rooms in the MassMutual Center's convention wing.
