Friday Night's Loons Games Postponed

April 19, 2013 - Midwest League (MWL1) - Great Lakes Loons News Release

MIDLAND, Mich. - Friday night's scheduled doubleheader between the Great Lakes Loons (5-6) and the Lake County Captains (4-8) has been postponed due to expected cold temperatures and the wind advisory in place until 10 p.m. The games were scheduled to be the first and second games of a five-game series between the Loons and the Captains.

The Loons will move one of the games to Sunday and make it part of a doubleheader, with the first game beginning at 2:05 p.m. Gates will open at 1 p.m. The other games will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Lake County. The specific date of that doubleheader will be determined at a later time.

The Loons are back in action on Saturday for a doubleheader against the Captains that was previously scheduled. Game time is 5:05 p.m., with gates opening at 4 p.m. There will be a pre-game autograph session between 4 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. The scheduled starters for the Loons are Zachary Bird for Game One and Angel Sanchez for Game Two.

Fans that purchased tickets for Friday's postponed game may exchange them at the Dow Diamond box office for tickets to any remaining Loons regular season home game, based on availability.

The Great Lakes Loons are a seventh-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. For tickets and more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
