Fournier Reassigned to Toledo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday reassigned defenseman Gleason Fournier from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Fournier, 21, has appeared in three games with the Griffins this season, recording four penalty minutes. The Rimouski, Quebec, native has also skated in four games for the Walleye, showing two penalty minutes. The second-year pro has tallied four points (1-3-4) in 16 career games with Grand Rapids and 18 points (2-16-18) in 59 games for Toledo.

Grand Rapids is aiming to reclaim first place in the Midwest Division with a win tonight against the Peoria Rivermen. The team will also be in action this week on the road against Chicago on Friday (8:30 p.m. EST) and at home versus Rockford on Sunday (4 p.m.). Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
