Dayton Silverbacks News Release

Nineteen voted. Four were chosen.

Congratulations to the 2006 ProStar Team members from the Miami Valley Silverbacks.

Representing the Silverbacks on the 2006 ProStar team are Center Joe Washington, Wide Receiver Moe Lee, Defensive Back Bobby Britton and Linebacker Neal Wood. Wood was chosen for both offensive and defensive titles.

"Despite our league record, this team is loaded with talent and I think that having four players chosen for the ProStar team shows that we are respected throughout the league," stated Head Coach and General Manager Matt King.

The Silverbacks had no shortage of player accolades and outstanding statistics this season. Moe Lee, who broke two league records this season, had a phenomenal season with 80 receptions totalling nearly 1000 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. Lee returned two field goals and 12 kickoffs bringing his total number of touchdowns to 20 for 124 points.

Bobby Britton, elected to the first team, ended the season with 18 solo tackles, one assist, one interception and six breakups. On special teams, Britton had six kickoff returns for 148 yards, one field goal return for 25 yards.

Neal Wood did double duty and spent most of the season playing both offense and defense. Wood, who became a running back late in the season, rushed for three touchdowns and turned in one interception.

Three of the four elected to the ProStar team were 2006 team captains.

Tickets for the 2007 season will be on sale soon.
