Four SeaWolves Named Eastern League All-Stars

(Erie, PA) - The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are pleased to announce that RHP Tommy Collier, INF Corey Jones, OF Connor Harrell and OF Jason Krizan have been named to the Western Division All-Star Team for the Eastern League All-Star Game at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio on July 13.

TOMMY COLLIER

Collier has received his second-straight EL All-Star nod. Collier leads all SeaWolves starting pitchers with six wins. In 15 starts this season, he is 6-4 with a 3.54 ERA. In 81.1 innings pitched, he's allowed 37 runs, 32 earned, on 84 hits with 24 walks and 47 strikeouts. Collier was drafted by the Tigers in the 22nd round of the 2011 June Draft out of San Jacinto College North (TX).

COREY JONES

Jones is an EL All-Star for the second time in his career, garnering the honor in 2014. He began the season in Triple-A Toledo where he played in 14 games before being transferred to Erie. In 50 games with the SeaWolves, Jones has shown versatility playing five different positions (1B, 2B, 3B, LF, RF). At the plate, Jones is hitting .293 with three home runs and 24 RBI. He was drafted by the Tigers in the seventh round of the 2010 draft out of Cal State Fullerton.

JASON KRIZAN

Krizan is an All-Star for the first time in his career. The left-hander has played in 63 games for the SeaWolves this season, hitting .278 with seven home runs and 34 RBI. He's connected on a pair of walk-off winning hits this season. On May 14, he blasted a solo home run to beat Bowie. On June 11, sent an RBI single up the middle to beat Trenton in game two of a doubleheader. Krizan was drafted by the Tigers in the eighth round of the 2011 draft out of Dallas Baptist University (TX).

CONNOR HARRELL

Harrell is also an All-Star for the first time in his career. In 60 games with the SeaWolves, Harrell is hitting .284 with seven home runs and 21 RBI. Harrell was drafted by the Tigers in the seventh round of the 2013 draft out of Vanderbilt University.

This announcement is the second major recognition of SeaWolves players in the past few days. Earlier this week, SeaWolves right-handed reliever Joe Jimenez was named to the 2016 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, which will be played at Petco Park in San Diego on July 10.

The SeaWolves have scheduled a bus trip to Akron for fans who want to attend the Eastern League All-Star Game.
