The Carolina League announced that four Salem Red Sox have been named 2012 All-Stars: SS Xander Bogaerts, CF Jackie Bradley, Jr., RHP Mike Olmsted, and 1B Travis Shaw. This quartet will represent the Salem Sox in the California-Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19 in Winston-Salem.
The Salem Sox trail the first-place Dash by three games with seven to play in the half heading into tonight's series opener in Wilmington.
First pitch at 7:05.
Today, INF James Kang and OF Felix Sanchez were placed on the disabled list. Salem received INF Heiker Meneses and OF Shannon Wilkerson from Portland.
