Four Isotopes to Take Part in New Mexico Fire Relief

Albuquerque Isotopes manager Lorenzo Bundy will lead a group of "˜Topes taking part in today's "New Mexico Fire Relief" drive-through fundraiser at The Pit. In addition to Bundy, pitching coach Glenn Dishman, infielder Joe Becker, and utility player Tyler Henson will be greeting donors today from Noon to 2:00 PM. The best mascot in Minor League Baseball, Orbit, will also be on hand throughout the event.

The Isotopes are joining forces with UNM Lobo Football to raise funds for the New Mexico communities devastated by the recent wildfires. Donations from the two-day event go to the American Red Cross of New Mexico, which will then distribute the funds to those New Mexicans in need. Today's relief efforts at The Pit last from noon to 4:00 PM.

In addition to the drive-through fundraiser, Isotopes and Lobos will also be assisting with fundraising outside of Isotopes Park before the "˜Topes take on the Round Rock Express tonight and tomorrow. Volunteers, including personalities from Cumulus Radio group and Red Cross personnel, will be collecting from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM on both days.

The Isotopes continue their last homestand before the All-Star Break with an appearance by Myron Noodleman tonight before the second fireworks show in four days on Saturday. The five-game homestand wraps up Sunday with a live performance by the Sweetright Brothers.
