Omaha Lancers News Release

Ralston, NE - Ethen Frank and Justin Richards each scored a pair as the Stars ran away from the Lancers 4-2 on Saturday night at the Ice Box.

The Stars opened the scoring late in the first period. Mike Gillespie's shot found its way through Ryan Keane but didn't quite cross the goal line. Henry Bowlby was Johnny on the spot tapping the puck into the open net mouth. Bowlby's 12th of the season gave the Stars a 1-0 lead after the first.

Lincoln's Justin Richards doubled the lead early in the second before Austin Alger brought Omaha within one. Just under halfway through the period a face off in the Lincoln end helped spark the Lancer Offense. Filip Rydstrom won the draw back to Austin Alger who drilled a one-timer past Cayden Primeau. Lincoln got three consecutive goals to end the period, taking a 5-1 lead in the intermission.

The lead would swell to five goals early in the third as Ethen Franks scored only 0:51 into the period short-handed to put the Stars up 6-1. Jack Randl's fifth of the season would cut the lead back to four goals but Frank would score another to cap off the scoring. Lincoln would claim the 7-2 victory over the Lancers.

Lincoln finished the night 3-for-6 on the man-advantage. Omaha was 0-for-6. Ryan Keane made 25 saves in his USHL debut

Omaha will host a pair of home games next weekend as they welcome Waterloo and Fargo into Ralston Arena.
