Fort Wayne's Reiter Named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Ken Reiter of the Fort Wayne Komets is the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January.
The 27-year-old went 6-1-0 with one shutout, a 1.96 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage in seven appearances during the month.
Reiter allowed two goals or less in five of his seven appearances and made at least 32 saves four times. He won his first four appearances in January, including a 41-save performance in a 3-2 overtime win against Cincinnati on Jan. 13 and a 36-save effort for his second shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory at Evansville on Jan. 16. Reiter ended the month with back-to-back wins, stopping a combined 56 of 59 shots in a 4-2 win at Evansville on Jan. 26 and in a 2-1 win at Kalamazoo on Jan. 30.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Reiter has appeared in 24 games with the Komets this season posting a record of 14-7-1 with two shutouts, a 2.72 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916. He also has seen action in two games with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.
Prior to turning pro, Reiter played three seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he appeared in 94 games with an overall record of 52-26-11 with nine shutouts, a 2.37 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912.
