NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Former North Adams SteepleCat Tim Adleman made his Major League debut for the Cincinnati Reds on May 1st when he threw a solid six inning start against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Adleman, a 6'5" righty from Georgetown, got his first MLB win on May 6th when he tossed five innings of one run ball against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Adleman is the fifth NECBL alumnus to make his Major League debut this season, and the 125th to reach the Majors. He is the 36th New England League graduate to play in the Majors in 2016.

The Baltimore Orioles' 24th round pick in the 2010 Draft, Adleman spent the 2012 year pitching in Independent Ball, and was signed by the Reds in October 2013. He had a 2.85 ERA and was a Southern League All-Star for Double-A Pensacola in 2014, and did even better, putting up a 2.64 ERA in 26 starts for Pensacola in 2015.

Adleman made six starts and two relief appearances for the 2007 SteepleCats, going 3-0 with a 3.68 ERA. He struck out 22 in 29.1 NECBL innings.

The NECBL congratulates Tim on this significant accomplishment.
