Former Rage Running Back Sha'ron Edwards Joins NFL's Atlanta Falcons
St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage of United Indoor Football (UIF) would like to announce that former Rage running back Sha'ron Edwards was recently signed as a free agent by the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Edwards most recently played for the Frankfort Galaxy in NFL Europa where he led the team to World Bowl XV.
Edwards led Frankfort with 237 yards rushing while adding 95 yards receiving after beginning the season with the Berlin Thunder. In World Bowl XV, he ran for 17 yards and a touchdown. Edwards also led Frankfort with seven catches for a team-high 79 yards as the Galaxy lost to the Hamburg Sea Devils.
The former Illinois State star led another league in rushing yards with 804 and rushing touchdowns with 26 in just 11 games with the Rage last season.
"He was an unbelievable talent in college," said Rage head coach Jim Cox. "We were fortunate to have him last season. He really worked hard for us and bettered his game while he was here. It's great to see the guys who work hard finally get their chance."
