Mobile BayBears News Release
PEARL, Miss. (August 17) - Prior to the start of tonight's contest between the Mobile BayBears and Mississippi Braves at Trustmark Park, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster move. RHP Bryan Augenstein has been reassigned to the BayBears from Triple-A Reno where he was recently on the disabled list. Augenstein is back with the team that he began the season with and turned in a 5-0 record with a 0.78 ERA in 6 starts. That terrific start to the season earned Augenstein a shot in the big leagues where he made his debut against the Cincinnati Reds on May 13. He also worked against the Florida Marlins on May 20 before going down to Reno where he was 2-5 with a 5.50 ERA in 8 outings. He hasn't pitched since July 12. Augenstein will be the starting pitcher for tonight's ballgame against the Braves. The BayBears now have 24 active players with 2 on the disabled list.
