Iowa Barnstormers News Release

DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Barnstormers are extremely excited to announce that they have agreed to terms with former AFL Kicker of the Year Chris Gould for the 2013 season. Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee stated late Monday that Gould has been assigned to the club on a one-year contract.

Gould, (6-0, 215) is entering his fourth season as a member of the Arena Football League. He spent last season with the ArenaBowl XXV champion Arizona Rattlers where he connected on 9 of 10 field goal attempts and 124 of 138 PAT's. Prior to that, Gould played two seasons with the Chicago Rush, beginning in 2010 when Hohensee was Head Coach. That season, Gould smashed every franchise single season record for kicking, in route to being named the AFL's Kicker of the Year. For his career, Gould has been successful on 61.5% of his field goal attempts and 90% of his PAT's, making him one of the most accurate kickers in AFL history.

Gould played college football at the University of Virginia, where he was the team's punter for his first two seasons, before switching to kicker for his junior season. He is the younger brother of Chicago Bears Kicker Robbie Gould, an 8 year veteran who is the NFL's third most accurate kicker of all time.

Season tickets for the 2013 Iowa Barnstormers season remain on sale now for as little as $99.00 per seat. Don't miss a minute of the action this season! To order your seats today, or for more information, call the Barnstormers at (515) 633-2255 or log onto www.theiowabarnstormers.com .
