Flying Tigers Return Home Friday for Weekend of Fun Including Fireworks and Battle of the Badges

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers return home Friday, August 7 for a six-game homestand against the Daytona Tortugas (Reds) August 7-9 and the Clearwater Threshers (Phillies) August 10-12. Tickets for all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075 or visiting LakelandFlyingTigers.com. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5. Seniors 55 and over, children 14 and under and active military personnel receive a $1.00 discount. Day of game tickets are an additional $1 (excluding Monday's). Monday tickets are $1. Wednesday All-You-Can-Eat tickets are $10 (in advance). Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Parking is FREE.

Bromance Night - Guys Night Out Presented by Phillips Bait & Tackle

Grab some buddies and head out to the Flying Tigers inaugural Bromance Night. There will be special giveaways including a rod & reel compliments of Phillips Bait and Tackle as well as in-game promotions. Special appearance by the Frozen Sisters from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the main concourse. Kids will have a chance for a meet & greet and take photographs.

Pre-Game

The Flying Tigers will have a face painter from Twisted Artz will be in the main concourse beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Game Between the Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Lakeland Police Department

It is a battle of the badges as the Lakeland Police Department takes on the Polk

County Sheriff's Office in a charity softball game on Saturday, August 8th with the winner taking home $10,000 for their charity compliments of the Detroit Tigers Foundation of Florida. Law Enforcement receives free admission by showing their badge and 50% off for their families. The softball game starts at 4:00 p.m. and includes admission to the Flying Tigers game at 6:00 p.m. vs. the Daytona Tortugas. Also featuring celebrity umpires, a color guard and a tribute to fallen Law Enforcement Officers.

Hall Communications Stuff the Bus Night

The Flying Tigers in conjunction with 97 Country will be helping to "Stuff the Bus" Saturday night to support the efforts of the Lakeland Kiwanis Club. Come by and say hi to 97 Country's Jeni Taylor as she is on hand for a Live remote from the stadium.

Kids Club Night Sponsored by Cobb Theatre

- Kids can play catch on the field beginning at 12:00 p.m. (weather permitting).

- Kids can also run the bases just like the Flying Tigers following the game (weather permitting).

- All fans will receive a voucher for a free sundae, compliments of Dairy Queen - North Lakeland.

The Lakeland Flying Tigers are pleased to announce the return of the "Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Night" in partnership with the Lakeland Chamber. This night will allow members of the Chamber to entertain clients, reward hard working employees and market their business to Flying Tigers fans.

Wednesday is All-You-Can-Eat Night. Tickets are just $10 in advance ($11 day of game) and includes admission to the game and all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, Little Caesars pizza, peanuts, popcorn, pretzels and chips as well as food samples from Abuelo's from 5:30-8:30 p.m. or while supplies last.

"Mid Kid Night"

The Flying Tigers in partnership with the International Middle Child Union, will be hosting "Mid Kid night" (naturally in the middle of the week) as part of National Middle Child Day. We're throwing some love to the self-proclaimed "forgotten child" on their namesake holiday, and the I.M.C.U. couldn't be happier. The Flying Tigers will join almost 50 other teams in 26 states this season who are acknowledging and celebrating a holiday no one seems to know even exists. The evening is scheduled to include Middle Child themed songs and fun promotions throughout the game.
