Flying Squirrels, Rock Cats Postponed Monday Night

NEW BRITAIN, CT - Monday night's game between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and New Britain Rock Cats was postponed due to rain at New Britain Stadium. The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning contests on Tuesday night beginning at 5:05 PM.

Tuesday will mark the first true doubleheader for the Flying Squirrels. The club had its inaugural game suspended in the top of the fifth inning in Bowie on April 8th. Richmond lost the completion of the suspended game 6-4 before winning the seven-inning contest 2-0.

RHP Daryl Maday (2-0, 0.96) is currently scheduled to make the start for the Flying Squirrels in game one of the doubleheader against Rock Cats LHP Tyler Robertson (0-0, 3.09). Maday enters the start having worked 16 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings including tossing eight scoreless frames against New Britain last Tuesday. Game two is scheduled to feature Richmond RHP David Mixon (1-1, 3.78) opposing New Britain RHP Mike McCardell (0-1, 4.60).
