Florida's Trivino Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Florida Everblades forward Corey Trivino is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for March.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals, added 11 assists and was a +9 during the month, helping the Everblades to an 11-3-1 mark in March.

A second-round selection (36th overall) of the New York Islanders in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Trivino scored at least one point in 12 of 15 games during the month and had six multi-point games, including four points (3g-1a) in an 8-3 win at Orlando on March 26 and three points (1g-2a) in a 6-3 victory at Fort Wayne on March 8.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Trivino was fifth among ECHL rookies with 51 points (18g-33a) in 63 games with the Everblades this season. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at Boston University where he tallied 73 points (31g-42a) in 112 career games.

Runners Up: Sacha Guimond, Gwinnett (12 gp, 4g, 8a, 12 pts.) and David Vallorani, Reading (13 gp, 4g, 11a, 15 pts.).
