Flight soars past Altitude

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Huntsville point guard Jason Miskiri had 23 points, 10 assists and six rebounds to lead the Flight to a 103-97 win over the Asheville Altitude in National Basketball Development League action at the Von Braun Center.
Trailing by 14 points with seven minutes left in the second quarter, Miskiri led a Huntsville charge to help the Flight narrow the deficit to five at the half. Huntsville outscored Asheville 28-22 in the third quarter, and took a 73-72 lead into the fourth. Damone Brown had 10 points in the final quarter to help the Flight maintain the lead.
Brown finished with 24 points, Cedric Henderson had a team-high 25, and Earl Barron notched a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Ashevilles Ron Slay led all scorers with 38 points, and added 12 rebounds for a double-double. Slays 38 points is the NBDL single-game high this season.
The Flight improved to 16-10 overall, and 2-3 in the season series with the Altitude. Asheville dropped to 15-12.
The Flight are back in action Monday night as they host the Fayetteville Patriots. The Altitude return home Monday night to host the Florida Flame.
