HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 1 ? Individual game tickets are now on sale for the Huntsville Flight?s 2004-05 National Basketball Development League regular season. Tickets are available at the Von Braun Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling 1-800-4-NBA-TIX, or online at ticketmaster.com.
Individual game tickets start at just $9 for adults and $7 for kids in upper bowl general admission. Box seat tickets in the corners are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Box seats on the sidelines are $20 for adults and $15 for adults. Floor seats are $40.
Group tickets can be purchased for just $6 each by church groups, companies, youth ball teams, or any group of 15 or more.
"With our 14 weekend dates, our games are a great source for affordable family entertainment," said Flight team president Tom Wagganer. "In addition to the great basketball, our in-game contests, Kid?s Zone and exciting atmosphere make Flight games the ideal place for people in the Valley to spend their entertainment dollars."
The Flight?s home opener is Saturday, November 27 at 5 p.m. against the Columbus Riverdragons. The Flight have once again partnered with SportsMED and the VBC for a basketball doubleheader. Immediately following the Flight game will be the championship game of the SportsMED Shootout high school tournament, and each ticket to the Flight game is also good for the high school game.
The NBDL, the NBA?s minor league, includes the Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Huntsville Flight (Ala.), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), Columbus Riverdragons (Ga.) and Asheville Altitude (N.C.).
The league offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA?s umbrella. Twenty-eight (28) players have been called up the NBA on 39 separate occasions. Nine former NBDL coaches, five athletic trainers, 11 referees and 29 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league?s inaugural season in November 2001.
Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The NBDL is a source of on-court talent for the NBA?s 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
