HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 30 – Lonnie Harrell scored 16 of his game-high tying 21 points in the final quarter to lift Huntsville to a 94-81 NBDL victory over Columbus here Saturday night at the Von Braun Center.

Joining Harrell in double figures for the Flight was Brandon Williams with 21 points, as Mike Wilks scored 18 and Rodney Bias added 11 points and 14 rebounds off the bench.

Tang Hamilton led three Riverdragons in double figures with 18 points as Derek Strong tallied 16 and Nate Johnson 15.

The Flight found themselves behind 67-65 in the final quarter before Harrell triggered a 29-8 run over the first seven-plus minutes of the final quarter.

"Lonnie was struggling early on," Flight coach Ralph Lewis said. "He’s a shooter, though, and sometimes you can’t hit water in the ocean. But he realizes that he can get into a flow and that is what he did in the final quarter.

The Riverdragons then got hit with a series of technicals, the first coming on a defensive three seconds with 3:08 to play as Nate Johnson followed with technical at the same time and then another one 16 seconds later to be ejected from the game.

The game saw 16 lead changes and 19 ties but the Riverdragons led after each of the first three periods

"It’s simple, we played for three quarter and they whipped our butts in the fourth," Riverdragons head coach Jeff Malone said. "They took us out. We are so soft right now we need to get tougher. We’ve lost a lot of close games because of that. That’s alright because we’ll work to get better."

The Flight return to action Tuesday when they travel to Mobile for a 7 p.m. CST tipoff, while plays host to North Charleston Tuesday at 7 pm EST.
