Flash Lose First of Three Game Road Trip

Frisco, TX (January 26, 2011) - The Texas Legends ended a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night, using a big fourth quarter run to beat the Utah Flash 106-88 at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

Ronald Dupree had a dominating first half, scoring 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting. However, it was the spread out scoring of Texas that gave them a 48-46 lead going into halftime with nine of ten Legends players scoring in the opening half.

In the third, neither team was able to take complete control and the game headed into the final period with the Legends up by five, 75-70.

With Texas still on top by five with under seven minutes to go in the game, the Legends outscored the Flash 21-8 to finish the game and clinch the victory for the home team.

Joe Alexander led the way for the Legends with his 11th double-double in his last 13 games as he poured in 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Sean Williams added 17 points and 11 boards.

Despite scoring 18 points in the first half, Dupree finished the night with just 19 as he was 0-for-4 from the field in the second half.

Texas improved to 12-13 with the win, while Utah fell to 12-11 on the season.

The Legends are back in action on Friday night with the final game of a two-game set with the Utah Flash. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.
