Flash Fall To Reno 104-101

RENO, NV - The Utah Flash traveled to Reno to face the Bighorns for the sixth time this season. The Flash failed to convert down the stretch and were defeated 104-101. The Flash were led by Dontell Jefferson's 22 points. Desmon Farmer led the way for Reno with 27 points. The two teams will face-off again tomorrow at the Reno Events Center.

In the first quarter the Flash got off to a quick start and led by as many as 12 points but only closed the quarter up by five. Andre Ingram scored nine of his 18 points in the opening 12 minutes of play.

Reno, who have picked up four new players in the last week, shared the ball well in the second quarter and only trailed by two at the half. Reno's Desmond Farmer poured in eight of his game-high 27 points in the second quarter and the Flash led at halftime 55-53.

Utah struggled to put the ball in the basket in the third quarter, scoring only 22 points in the quarter, and trailed by three heading into the fourth. By the end of third Utah had only made one of their seven three-point attempts while shooting 45-percent from the floor.

The back and forth battle continued well into the fourth. Yaroslav Korolev found a rhythm in the fourth quarter scoring the Bighorns first seven points in a row. The Flash hung in there and had several chances to tie the game, but could not capitalize on those opportunities, and Reno secured the victory.

Jefferson led the way for Utah adding seven assists and 10 rebounds to go along with his 22 points. Farmer, who put up 36 points against the Flash the last time the visit Reno, led the Bighorns with 27 points. Ingram finished with 18 points for the Flash while Luke Nevill and Bennet Davis scored 17 points and 16 points respectively.

Utah will stay in Reno for a second back-to-back game tomorrow. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Reno Events Center.
