Barrett posted a season-high 31 points on 12-21 shooting at Tulsa on January 28, 2006, and notched a double-double with 16 points and team-record-tying 15 assists versus Austin on January 8.

Barrett split the 2004-05 season in the NBA with the Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic. In 27 games with Houston, Barrett averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 assists in 11.6 minutes per contest. After moving on to Orlando, the New York native out of Seton Hall University averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 assists in 11 games with the Magic.

Barrett also tallied 19 points and six assists in Seton Hall's NCAA Tournament first round match-up against Arizona.
