Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

WINNIPEG, MB. - The Canadian Football League today announced its league All-Star team, and five Winnipeg Blue Bombers were named to the team. At running back, Winnipegger Andrew Harris was named a CFL All-Star for the fourth time in his career and for the second consecutive season, after a record-setting season in 2017. The CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian finished the season leading the league in rushing (1,035 yards) and set a CFL record for receptions by a running back, leading the entire CFL in passes caught at 105. Harris finished the season with six rushing touchdowns and one receiving score.

Veteran left tackle Stanley Bryant was named a CFL All-Star for the third time his career, while also capturing the CFL's Most Outstanding Lineman award last month. Bryant started all 18 games in 2017 and anchored an offensive line which paved the way for the league's leading rusher and a group that played together almost the entire season. For the second season in a row, Taylor Loffler is the CFL's All-Star safety. Drafted 19th overall by Winnipeg in the 2016 CFL Draft, Loffler took over starting duties in Week 6 of 2016 and morphed into the club's Most Outstanding Rookie last season. He finished this season with a team-high 75 defensive tackles while making one interception and three forced fumbles in 17 games. Halfback TJ Heath has been named a CFL All-Star for the second straight season. Acquired in a trade last September that also brought the first overall selection in the 2017 CFL Draft, Heath played in all 18 games for Winnipeg in 2017, recording 64 defensive tackles, one sack, and five interceptions - returning one for a touchdown.

Cornerback Chris Randle was named the team's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2017, and now has been named to the CFL All-Star team for the first time in his career. Randle played in all 18 games, accumulating five interceptions, 60 defensive tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and two defensive touchdowns.
