September 3, 2007 - Eastern League (EL1) - New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are proud to announce that a franchise-record 371,710 fans attended games at Merchantsauto.com Stadium in 2007, a 23% increase from last season. New Hampshire's total attendance ranked fourth overall in the Eastern League, another all-time club record.
"I want to thank all of our great fans for showing such passion and support throughout the course of the season," said Fisher Cats Owner Art Solomon. "I thank everyone who helped create the incredible atmosphere at the ballpark and congratulate the tremendous staff who worked tirelessly to put on a terrific show night in and night out."
"On behalf of the entire staff, I want to say thank you to all of our wonderful long-time fans and all the new ones who experienced our brand of entertainment for the first time this season," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "It is a proud moment for the franchise, and we look forward to reaching new heights during our 2008 Eastern League All-Star season."
This season's attendance mark shattered the previous high of 300,049 fans drawn in 2006 and caps a season in which every franchise attendance mark was broken. The Fisher Cats finished the season with 17 standing-room-only crowds, including seven consecutive standing-room-only crowds between June 15 and June 25.
