First Round Playoff Tickets Go on Sale Today at Noon

UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC -- With just six games remaining during the 2016 regular season and the Charlotte Knights just a half-game back of first place in the International League South Division standings, tickets to the first round of the Governors' Cup playoffs will go on sale to the general public at noon today. Fans can purchase first round playoff tickets online at CharlotteKnights.com, by phone at 704-274-8282, and in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office.
Currently, the second place Knights trail the first place Gwinnett Braves by just a half-game in the IL South Division. The Knights, who wrap up their road trip in Louisville, KY tonight with the finale of their three-game series, will return home to BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte to play the final five games of the regular season starting with a 1:05 p.m. game on Thursday. Charlotte will host Norfolk (Thursday through Saturday) and Gwinnett (Sunday and Monday) with all five games important to the late-season pennant race.
If the Knights win the International League South Division, the team will head to Columbus, OH to take on the Columbus Clippers from Huntington Park for games one and two of the first round. Game one will take place on Wednesday, September 7th and game two will be played on Thursday, September 8th from Columbus. Both games in Columbus will be played at 6:35 p.m. The best-of-five game series will then shift to BB&T Ballpark and the Knights will host games three (Friday, September 9th), four (Saturday, September 10th), and five (Sunday, September 11th). Games four and five of the series are only if necessary.

Game 4 (if necessary) Saturday, September 10th 7:05 PM
Game 5 (if necessary) Sunday, September 11th 5:05 PM
Field Box tickets for the first round of the Governors' Cup playoffs at BB&T Ballpark will cost just $10 per ticket per game. Fans interested in Club Level seats can purchase those tickets for just $15 per game. A credit will be applied to any playoff game purchased that is not played.
Single-game tickets for all five remaining home games during the 2016 regular season are also on sale and can be purchased in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office, online at CharlotteKnights.com, and by phone at 704-274-8282. Uptown Knights Are Better Than Ever!
