Fighting Saints Single Game Tickets to Go on Sale

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints announced today that single game tickets for the Saints' historic 2010-11 season in the USHL will go on sale this Saturday, October 2nd at 10 AM. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in person at the Mystique Community Ice Center box office, online at www.dubuquefightingsaints.com, and over the phone by calling (563) 583-6880.

The Fighting Saints will host an event at the Mystique Community Ice Center to celebrate the launch of single game tickets to their fans. Fans are invited to the arena to purchase their tickets, meet players and coaches for Q&A and autograph sessions, and take special behind- the-scenes tours of the arena. Free coffee and donuts will be served compliments of HyVee.

Additionally, the first 200 Fighting Saints fans in line (21 and older) will be able to register to win two tickets to that night's Iowa-Penn State game, courtesy of 7G Distributing. Fans old and new should expect an exciting season for the Fighting Saints as Head Coach and GM Jim Montgomery and his staff have assembled a talented and highly entertaining roster.

Several players are expected to be elite talents in the USHL, including forward Vinny Saponari, who won an NCAA national championship with Boston University in 2009 and has been drafted by the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers, forward John Gaudreau, who played for the US National team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia this summer, and defenseman Joakim Ryan, who played for Sweden's National Team at the same tournament.

The Fighting Saints begin their regular season on Friday, October 1st in Omaha as they take on the Lancers. The Saints' home opener is slated for October 22nd at the Mystique Community Ice Center, also against Omaha. The puck will drop at 7 PM as the Saints take to the ice for the first time in the regular season in Dubuque.

The Fighting Saints' home schedule is highlighted by the renewals of the Key City's hockey rivalries with the Waterloo Black Hawks, Cedar Rapids Roughriders, and Des Moines Buccaneers. Waterloo and Cedar Rapids make three trips to the spectacular new Mystique Community Ice Center during the arena's inaugural season, and Des Moines will visit four times. Cedar Rapids will be the first Iowa rival to visit the Fighting Saints' new home, coming to town on October 30th .

Fans will have several opportunities to see their Fighting Saints in Dubuque around the various holidays. The Saints will play in Dubuque on Wednesday, November 24th prior to Thanksgiving Day and Saturday, November 27th that holiday weekend.

Des Moines will pay a visit to the Mystique Community Ice Center for a New Year's Day tilt, Saturday, January 1st , and the Buccaneers will return to Dubuque for a matchup the Sunday prior to Martin Luther King Day, January 16th .

Fighting Saints president Matt Strelo emphasized: "For those fans that may not have the time to attend all 30 home games, this is a fantastic opportunity to cherry pick some the key dates and key opponents of the Saints. The demand is going to be great so we encourage fans to act quickly to get the best possible selection of seats."
