News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - After the Fighting Saints second season in the USHL, it's not just the players on the ice who are advancing in their hockey careers. Fighting Saints assistant coach and Director of Scouting Bobby Kinsella has accepted a job with the Montreal Canadiens as an amateur scout beginning with next season. Kinsella, who will be based out of Chicago, will spend plenty of time in his old stomping grounds, spending much of his efforts scouting the USHL for top amateur talent for hockey's most-storied franchise.

"Working in Dubuque and in the USHL has allowed me to gain experience scouting elite players," said Kinsella. "I'm looking forward to taking this experience with me as I move on to the challenges that await me in the NHL."

Fighting Saints Head Coach Jim Montgomery said that he will have a challenge to replace such a valuable member of his staff.

"Bobby is a consummate professional who has been the architect for the talented teams from the past two years, and next year's team as well," said Fighting Saints Head Coach Jim Montgomery. "He has earned this opportunity through his talent, hard work, and dedication to making the Fighting Saints great."

Additionally, the Fighting Saints announced that radio broadcaster and Media Relations Coordinator Patrick Murray will not return to the team. Along with his fiancée, Murray will be relocating to Washington, D.C. In two seasons with the Fighting Saints, Murray, the team's inaugural broadcaster, called 135 regular season and playoff games, including the team's Clark Cup winner in 2011. On Dubuque's Super Hits 106, he became a familiar voice for Fighting Saints fans whether the team was playing at the Mystique Community Ice Center or away from the Key City.

"We'll miss Patrick's professionalism and passion both on and off the air," said Fighting Saints President Dan Lehv. "We wish him and Grace the best as they begin their lives together in Washington. The next 'Voice of the Fighting Saints' has a lot live up to."

The Fighting Saints also announced the hiring of Spencer Radabaugh for the full-time position of Ticket Sales Representative. Radabaugh had served as a part-time Ticket Sales Representative over the team's first two seasons. In other staffing news, Promotions Coordinator Angela Unsen has left the organization to accept a position with Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida. The team also announced the departure of Megan Becker, who served as an Account Executive while coordinating the team's merchandise efforts during the 2011-2012 season, and Tyler Sleeper, who served as Athletic Trainer.
