Fifth Annual Toys For Tots Dinner A Huge Success

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that the fifth annual Toys for Tots Spaghetti Dinner, held on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Michelangelo's Pizzeria & Restaurant at 465 Court Street in Binghamton, generated eight large barrels of toys and $836 in tips to benefit Broome County Toys for Tots.

The Binghamton Senators and Q107 FM teamed for the event, with B-Sens players serving dinners throughout the evening to patrons who donated a new and unopened toy. Patrons received a spaghetti dinner, salad and soda for just $5.99.

The Broome County Toys for Tots is run through a joint effort of the Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott and Vestal police departments. More than 3,000 children in Broome County received toys through the program last year.

The B-Sens (13-9-2-3, 31 pts.) face East Division rival Philadelphia (17-11-0-0, 34 pts.) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Wachovia Spectrum. Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens.
