Field Trip Day, Knee Hockey Sticks, and Date a Condor this Week

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - After two long weeks on the road, the Bakersfield Condors return home to Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena for three games this week. Thursday is the team's annual Field Trip Day game at 10:30 a.m. On Friday, the team will give away 2,000 knee hockey sticks and on Saturday, the first annual Date A Condor Night will give fans opportunities to win a "date" with their favorite player. Check out all the fun happening in Condorstown this week!

Thursday is the team's annual Field Trip Educational Day game at 10:30 a.m. presented by Hot 94.1 FM and Kern County Public Health Services. What better way to spend a field trip than at a Condors game! Nearly 6,000 students and teachers are expected with in-arena videos and games geared towards learning. In addition, every student will take home a 16-page educational booklet with them to keep the studying going back in the classroom. For businesspersons, or others wanting to have lunch at the game, all tickets are just $10 anywhere in the building.

Who says you can't play hockey in the house? You can as long as you don't knock anything over! On Friday, the Condors will give away 2,000 Condors Knee Hockey Sticks (children 12 & under) presented by 106.1 KRAB Radio and American Business Machines. It's a Wells Fargo Condors Kids Club Night also with members receiving free lower level admission to the game.

The Condors will also honor all veterans and military personnel on Friday with free admission to the game by presenting their military I.D. It's our small way of saying thank you for the big contribution they have made to our country.

The Condors are giving all fans the opportunity to hang out with their favorite player as Saturday is the first-ever Date a Condor Night presented by 101.5 KGFM. Everyone will receive one free bid with an opportunity to purchase more bids (1 for $5 or 5 bids for $10) to ensure you don't miss out. There will be 16 dates available. Tyson Gimblett, Evan Trupp, Brian Stewart, David Toews, Francis Meilleur, Scott Enders, Zach Cohen, Parker Stanfield, Robby Dee, Levi Nelson, Nick Prockow, Joe Rogalski ... Brett Perlini is also available.

Also available for bidding are head coach Matt O'Dette, broadcaster Ryan Holt, and equipment manager Brian Schmidt.

Doors open at 6 p.m. both nights (5:45 p.m. for STH) and the puck drops at 7 p.m.

Friday's game will feature performances from Rockstar Cheer who sold over 300 tickets for their group as part of fundraising with the Condors.

After the weekend games, be sure to stop by the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth on the concourse near the main doors to get your favorite player's autograph. On Friday, F Jacob Lagace and D Francis Meilleur will sign for fans while RW Tyler Brenner and F David Toews will man the booth after Saturday's game.

Before Friday's game, stop by the Barnes & Noble, located at 4001 California Ave., at 5:30 p.m. to pick up your copy of FanGirl the newest novel written by former Condors goaltender and current E! News Correspondent Ken Baker. Ken will be in the store signing copies of his book and if you bring your signed copy to the game on Friday, you will receive a Parker Stanfield bookmark and a free Condors hockey glove mug.
