Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Prowlers were able to come from behind and win impressively 6-4 over the North Shore Knights on Friday night, with the win Port Huron pushes their streak to 7 games in a row.
The Prowlers and Knights skated to a 2-2 tie after the first 20 minutes of play. Matt Robertson opened up the scoring at 8:22 of the period. The Knights would quickly answer with two of their own to push the lead to 2-1. Port Huron would cap off the period by evening the score at 2-2 with a goal from Dalton Jay, Jay's 14th on the season tying him for first on the team.
The second period would prove to be much of the same as both teams were able to light the lamp twice, leaving the score at 4-4 after two periods. Coming into the contest the Prowlers had won 6 games in a row, coming off a big victory over Cornwall last Saturday 2-1. The knights had been struggling coming into the contest but showed a lot of determination against the streaking Prowlers, tallying four goals after being shutout the night prior
Port Huron would dominate the third period action scoring the final two goals to skate away with a 6-4 victory. Dalton Jay finished off the scoring while also picking up up his 2nd on the night and 3rd point overall to be named first star of the game.
These two teams square off again on saturday at 7:30 PM at McMorran Arena, where the Prowlers looks to keep things rolling and extend their win streak to an impressive 8 games.

Nationals / Thunderbirds Game Suspended

Friday night's Cornwall Nationals at Carolina Thunderbirds game was suspended due to poor ice conditions. Play was halted with 6:39 remaining in the first period with Cornwall leading 2-1. After a lengthy delay the officials deemed the ice unplayable.
The game will resume on Saturday, December 30th at 12:00 (noon).
The originally scheduled game for Saturday, December 30th, between the two teams will be played beginning at 6:00 PM EST.
