UPCOMING

FCC will look to rebound from a one-goal loss at Bethlehem Steel FC this Sat. (May 6) against Richmond Kickers.

The match, a 7:00 p.m. kickoff, will be aired on WSTR.

The Orange and Blue will then spend the remainder of May at Nippert Stadium.

TRAVEL PAINS

FCC has not fared well on the road in the early season, going 1-3-0 in away fixtures.

Most recently, the team conceded a goal in the final three minutes of the match against Steel FC.

FCC has been out-scored 5-1 on the road with four of the five tallies yielded in the second period.

The team also was handed its second shutout of the young season with both coming at the hands of Steel FC.

SEASON HIGH SHOTS

FCC peppered Bethlehem Steel FC with a season-high 21 shots.

Andrew Wiedeman paced the team with five shots.

Five players had multiple shots for FCC, a trend that had not been seen since the 1-0 win against Pittsburgh (Apr. 1).

Jimmy McLaughlin is currently second on the team with 10 shots taken with Aodhan Quinn one shot shy of his teammate.

BACK FOUR CONSISTENCY

While the midfield and attacking third have seen adjustments over the seven matches, the FCC defense employed a steady lineup.

Matt Bahner, Harrison Delbridge and Tyler Polak have logged appearances in all seven matches while Austin Berry missed one start due to a concussion in the first match against Bethlehem Steel FC in Apr.

Midfielder, Kenney Walker is one of four players to start in all seven contests, joining Delbridge, Bahner and Mitch Hildebrandt.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

FCC has scored eight goals this season with all eight coming from inside the box.

Five of the eight have been headers while two have been delivered by the left foot of Quinn and Djiby.

WHO GETS THE CALL

Daryl Fordyce, Victor Mansaray, Omar Cummings and Andrew Wiedeman all could be candidates to spearhead the offensive effort for FCC.

Fordyce has played in four games, starting two and was briefly stymied by a calf strain.

Mansaray has seen action in five contests but held to one shot.

Omar Cummings, a veteran player, has also seen limited action, coming off the bench in two matches.

Kadeem Dacres is also not to be overlooked following a strong showing against Bethlehem.

Dacres has started in five matches and taken eight shots, including three on goal.

WHO'S OUT

Justin Hoyte remains ineligible due to a hamstring strain and is listed as week-to-week.

Andy Craven will serve the first of his four-game suspension following a red card against Bethlehem Steel FC.

U.S. OPEN CUP UPDATE

FCC will jump into the U.S. Open Cup in the second round and will play May 17, against either AFC Cleveland (NPSL) or Des Moines Menace (PDL) with the location and time to be determined.

Should Cleveland win, FCC is scheduled to host the match and will travel to Iowa, should the Menace come away with the win.

HILDEBRANDT RANKS FOURTH

Mitch Hildebrandt is currently tied for fourth with 18 saves on the year and trails league leader, Earl Edwards Jr. from Orlando City B who has 24.

The Livonia, Mich. product has started in every match for FCC, logging 630 minutes.

Hildebrandt has saved two penalties and following 25 shots faced, has a 72-percent saves success rate.

ABOUT RICHMOND

Richmond has played one less match than FCC and is 2-4-0 ad currently 12th in the standings.

In their last match, the Kickers fell 1-0 to Tampa Bay Rowdies.

The Kickers have scored three goals on 12 shots on target.

Conor Shanosky, Fred Owusu Sekyere and Alhaji Kamara are the team leaders with a goal apiece.

LOOK FOR A FAMILIAR FACE

Former FCC defender Evan Lee is with the Kickers and has made four appearances, including three starts to total 257 minutes. Lee has won 12 of 20 duels in the backfield, including besting the opposition in three of four aerial duels.
