FC Kansas City News Release

KANSAS CITY - FC Kansas City announced a trade with the Western New York Flash on Thursday, that will send back-up goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland to the Flash in exchange for two second round picks in the 2017 National Women's Soccer League College Draft.

"This is not necessarily a move we wanted to make as we rate Katelyn very highly," Blues general manager Huw Williams said. "The trade provides her with an opportunity to compete for immediate playing time. It also provides us with more options in the strong 2017 college draft"

Rowland played three matches for the Blues last year, allowing four goals for a 1.33 goals against average and a save percentage of 76.
