FC Dallas Homegrown Players Pomykal and Reynolds Called Into U.S. Youth National Team Duty

FRISCO - FC Dallas Homegrown players, Paxton Pomykal (U.S. Under-18 National Team) and Bryan Reynolds (U.S. Under-17 National Team), have been called in by their respective national teams, U.S. Soccer announced recently.
Shaft Brewer and Brandon Servania, two members of FCD's U-18 Academy Team that won Dr Pepper Dallas Cup's Gordon Jago Super Group along with Pomykal on Sunday, April 16, were also named to the Slovakia Cup squad. The U.S. U-18 National Team has been placed in Group B along with Hungary, Belarus, and Slovakia. The team opens the tournament against Hungary on Monday, April 24 at 11 a.m. ET, followed by Belarus on Tuesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. ET, and Slovakia on Thursday, April 27, at 5 a.m. ET.
The U.S. traveled to Slovakia on Tuesday, April 18, for five days of training before taking on Hungary.
Reynolds was named to the U.S. U-17 Men's National Team by head coach John Hackworth on Monday, April 17. The team will compete in the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, running from April 21 to May 7 in Panama. The confederation championship doubles as the qualifying tournament for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be played Oct. 6-28 in India.
The USA has been drawn into Group C along with Jamaica, Mexico and El Salvador. The U-17 MNT opens against Jamaica on Sunday, April 23 at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by Mexico on Wednesday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. ET and El Salvador on Saturday, April 29 at 11:30 a.m. ET. All three of the USA's matches will be streamed live on the CONCACAF Facebook page. Fans can also follow the action on Twitter at @ussoccer_ynt.
