FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Coastal Plain League has named 2015 SwampDogs outfielder Jimmy Faul (Jr./Louisville) to the 2015 All-CPL First Team, the league announced Thursday.

Faul, who was the SwampDogs' lone representative on the team, enjoyed a successful summer at "The Swamp," both at the plate and in the field.

He led the team with a .333 batting average, and his three home runs are tied for the most hit by a SwampDogs player since the 2012 season. His 21 runs batted in were good for third on the team.

Defensively, Faul recorded seven outfield assists and committed just one error in the field. Faul also made four appearances on the mound in relief.

"Jimmy continues a long tradition of not only outstanding baseball players, but outstanding young men that we've had here at 'The Swamp,'" said SwampDogs general manager Jeremy Aagard. "It was a pleasure to have Jimmy here for the summer, and we wish him nothing but the best as he returns to school for his senior year."

Faul, a Louisville, Ky. native, played collegiately for Daytona State College before transferring to Louisville. The Cardinals finished the 2015 season ranked #9 in the country according to Baseball America.
