Hillsboro, OR (April 26, 2016) - The defending back-to-back Northwest League champion Hillsboro Hops (@HillsboroHops) will hold a FanFest on Saturday, May 14th at Ron Tonkin Field from 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to take a behind the scenes tour of Ron Tonkin Field and take their picture with the Northwest League Championship Trophy. Fans can also run the bases, play catch on the field, pitch in the bullpen, play in the Kids Zone on the Hops inflatables, play on a wiffle ball field, get their face painted, enjoy live music, meet Barley, shop at the Hops Fund Garage Sale, and meet Rich Burk, the Voice of the Hops. Complimentary hot dogs and Coca-Cola products will be served to those fans in attendance. Parking and admission to Fan Fest will also be free.
Fan Fest is also the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to Hops games for the 2016 season. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Ron Tonkin Field box office starting at 10:00 a.m.
"We were blown away by the turnout and response following our first-ever Fan Fest at Ron Tonkin Field last May," said Hops Executive VP and GM K.L. Wombacher. "We look forward to hosting a day of fun baseball activities at the ballpark for the community as a thank you for their gracious support."
