Round Rock Express News Release
METAIRIE, La. - Tuesday night's Pacific Coast League series opener between the Round Rock Express and New Orleans Zephyrs at Zephyr Field was suspended and will be resumed Thursday at 5:05 p.m. CDT. Thursday's regularly scheduled game will follow as a seven-inning contest.
Round Rock leads 2-0 with one out in the top of the third, and the game will resume from that point. Julio Borbon doubled with one out in the third. He then stole third and scored on an errant throw. Omar Quintanilla followed with a solo home run just as what was a steady drizzle turned into a downpour. Umpires called the teams off the field at that point.
The Express and Zephyrs return to action Wednesday with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. Right-hander Neil Ramirez (4-2, 3.65 ERA) is scheduled to start for Round Rock, while lefty Sean West (2-3, 7.49 ERA) is slated to go for New Orleans.
