Everyday Heroes Celebration July 4th

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Yankees welcome fans to celebrate Independence Day at George M. Steinbrenner Field during this year's "July 4th Everyday Heroes Celebration" on Monday, July 4th, presented by Double Tree by Hilton Tampa Airport-Westshore. Gates will open at 5:45 p.m. and the Yankees will play the Daytona Tortugas at 7:00 p.m.

Yankees players and coaches will wear custom jerseys that will be available for bid in a silent auction, online and at the game, to benefit "Everyday Heroes USA." Fans in attendance that win will have the opportunity to meet the player or coach wearing the jersey for pictures and autographs.

"Everyday Heroes USA" is dedicated to assisting the current and past men, women and families of the fire department, law enforcement and military through a series of programs designed to connect them with charities, businesses and volunteers willing to help. Every year, "Everyday Heroes USA" hosts, sponsors and participates in multiple events, with proceeds benefiting local heroes. To learn more, visit www.everydayheroesusa.org.

Prior to the game, kids can run the bases from 6-6:15 p.m. and fans can receive player autographs on the concourse from 6:10-6:30 p.m. Following the game, fans are invited to stay for a fireworks show, presented by Sonny's BBQ.

As a thank you to our Everyday Heroes, the Tampa Yankees will be offering free admission to all EMT, Firefighters, Police, and Military with a valid ID. Also, the "Sonny's BBQ 4-Pack" is available now for the games on Monday, July 4th and Saturday, July 16th. The pack includes four lower-reserved tickets, four Tampa Yankees hats and four Sonny's BBQ "Big Deal Coupons" for $40 (a $100 value).
