The Everblades wrap up their brief three-game home stand with the South Carolina Stingrays on Tuesday night at Germain Arena. The game is the sixth of nine between the South Division rivals and the fifth and final between the teams at Germain Arena. This season, the Everblades hold a 3-1-1 record vs. the Stingrays. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 41-22-10 vs. South Carolina and are 23-9-4 all-time at home vs. the Stingrays. South Carolina enters this week riding a six game winning streak and an overall record of 27-12-2 (56 pts., 2nd, South Division).

The Everblades embark on a quick three-game road trip to Beaumont, Texas this weekend. It also marks the seventh time this year the Everblades are playing a three-games in three-nights set. The games mark the first time since mid December the two South Division rivals have met. The trio of games are the sixth, seventh and eighth of ten between the clubs and are the final three of five at Ford Arena. The Wildcatters lead the season series with a 4-0-1 record with two of their four wins coming in overtime. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 7-10-2 vs. Texas and are 4-5-0 all-time on the road vs. the Wildcatters. Texas enters this week's action sporting the league's best record of 32-4-7 (71 pts., 1st, South Division).

Friday, January 25 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 3-2 Overtime Loss
The Everblades dropped a tough overtime decision to South Carolina on Friday night, spoiling a come-back effort. After the Stingrays tallied a pair of first period goals, Preston Callander got the Blades on the board with a second period power play goal and Ryan Van Buskirk tied the score at two early in the third period. However just 35 seconds into overtime, Pierre-Luc O'Brien tallied for South Carolina for the 3-2 win. In goal David Shantz earned a tie in standings after turning away 28 of 31 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-for-5; PK: 3-for-4.
Saturday, January 26 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 3-2 Loss
The Everblades finished off the week with another tough loss to South Carolina. A playoff type game saw the teams battle back and forth. Brandon Roach scored both Everblades goals on the power play, but three straight South Carolina goals in a span of 11:34 from the end of the first period to the middle of the second period did the damage. Goaltender Justin Peters suffered the tough-luck loss after allowing the three goals on 28 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 2-for-7; PK: 6-for-7.

Roster Moves: The Everblades had defenseman Jordan Henry re-assigned to the club by the Florida Panthers from the Rochester Americans. During his most recent call-up to the Amerks Henry skated in 18 games, registering one assist. Overall the 21-year-old rookie has played in 20 games with Rochester this season...Prior to this weekend's action the Everblades activated forward Paul Caponigri from the 30-day IR. Caponigri last played on November 30 before suffering an injury.
