Everblades Extend Winning Streak To Six Games

The Florida Everblades won all three of their games last week to conclude their five-game road trip with a perfect 5-0-0 record, extending their winning streak to six games. The Everblades 8-2-0 run in their last 10 games has moved them to second place in the South Division with a record of 15-9-0 for 30 points, just three points behind first-place Greenville.

Florida opened the week with a 5-2 win at Kalamazoo on Wednesday. Francis Lemieux paced the Everblades' offense with three goals and an assist while Mitch Fadden (0g-3a) and Matthew Pistilli (1g-2a) each added three points. Jaroslav Janus was sharp in net turning aside 49 K-Wings shots to record the win.

On Friday, Mike McKenzie scored a pair of goals and Matt Beca and Mathieu Roy each chipped in with two assists as the Everblades doubled up Cincinnati 4-2. Bobby Goepfert earned the win in net stopping 34 of 36 Cyclones' shots.

The Everblades ended their road trip on Saturday with a 5-3 win at Cincinnati. Florida scored all of its goals in a 12-minute span in the first period. Lemieux continued his strong week with four points (2g-2a) while Fadden (0g-3a) and Alex Hutchings (2g-1a) each added three points. Janus picked up the win in goal making 28 saves.

Three Everblades are in the top five in the league in scoring with Fadden leading the way with 36 points (9g-27a). Fadden enters this week on a seven-game scoring streak with 14 points (1g-13a) over that span. Lemieux, who has 12 points (6g-6a) in his last four games, is second with 30 points (9g-21a). Pistilli rounds out the Everblades contingent in the top five with 26 points (13g-13a). Pistilli and Alexandre Imbeault are tied for the ECHL lead, along with Greenville's Brendan Connolly, with 13 goals.

Florida hosts a showdown for first place in the South Division this week as Greenville travels to Germain Arena for games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
