Esks Sign QB and Running Back

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced today the signing of import quarterback Jacory Harris and non-import running back Kyle Exume (pronounced Ex-Zoom-Ay). As per club policy, the terms of the contracts are not released.

Jacory Harris

Quarterback (import)

Born: May 12, 1990 - Miami, FL

College: Miami

Height: 6.04

Weight: 195

A three-year starter at the University of Miami, Harris racked up 8,826 passing yards and 75 touchdowns, including five rushing touchdowns, ranking him second in school history for yards and touchdowns. In 2011, he won the Offensive Most Outstanding Player Award. The year prior, he won the Community Service Man of the Year Award. In 2012, Harris attended mini rookie camp with the Miami Dolphins and briefly signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kyle Exume

Running back (non-import)

Born: Nov. 22, 1987 - Brooklin, Ontario

College: Bishop's

Height: 5.10

Weight: 198

Exume joins the Eskimos after originally being drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the sixth round (40th overall) of the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft. He was released prior to the start of the season and signed to the practice roster of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

In four seasons at Bishop's University, Exume registered 29.5 special teams tackles and three blocked kicks. In 2009, he was co-winner of the Special Teams Player of the Year Award with teammate and Eskimo kick returner Steven Turner.
