Tonight, the SeaWolves look for back-to-back wins as they begin a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) at Jerry Uht Park. Yesterday afternoon, the SeaWolves belted out 12 runs on 17 hits as they avoided a sweep, taking down the Reading Fightin Phils 12-4. It was the second time in the last week that the Seawolves put up 12 or more runs in a game...Lefty Tyler Alexander takes the mound for Erie making his 22nd appearance, 21st start and fourth start with the SeaWolves. He has not issued a walk in back-to-back games. Alexander earned his first Double-A win in his last start at Harrisburg on August 17. In the game, he allowed a run on four hits with no walks and two strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie won the game 4-2...RHP Sam Coonrod takes the mound for Richmond making his 11th start and first against the SeaWolves. Coonrod earned a win in his last start against Reading on August 16. In the game, he allowed a run on three hits with three walks and a strikeout six innings of work. Coonrod began the season in Class-A San Jose where he made 11 starts, posting a 5-3 record and 1.98 ERA.
