ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look for back-to-back wins and a series win as they take the field in the rubber game of a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) at Hadlock Field. Last night, Erie built a 9-0 lead and went on for a 9-3 win, snapping the club's third eight-game losing skid of the season. The win also snapped Erie's 10 game losing streak to teams from the Eastern Division. The 'Wolves now look for their first back-to-back wins since winning four straight May 15-19. Erie also looks for its first since win since taking two of three from Richmond May 18-20...Erie starting pitchers in this series have limited the Sea Dogs to just one run in 12 innings of work...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for Erie making his 15th appearance and fifth start of the season. Brown has dropped his last three decisions. In his last start against New Hampshire, Brown allowed two runs in the first inning and went on to shut out the Fisher Cats over the next six. The 'Wolves were shut out in the game 2-0. Brown did not allow a walk while equaling a season-high with five strikeouts...Righty Jeremy Kehrt takes the mound for Portland. Kehrt earned a win against the SeaWolves in his last start. He shut out the 'Wolves in six innings, allowing six hits with a walk and no strikeouts. Kehrt has allowed just four runs in 21.0 innings pitched.

- Portland has won the season series against Erie 4-1. The SeaWolves and Sea Dogs meet six times in 2010." Defensively, the 'Wolves have committed 70 errors on the season, the second-most in the league." The SeaWolves are sixth in the league with a 4.09 team ERA. Portland is seventh with a 4.33 team ERA."
