Recapping Last Week:

11/7 at Florida: L 3-6

The Jackals found themselves in a 3-0 hole after 12:50 of play against the Everblades last Wednesday, but after a timeout and a goalie change they immediately began to dig themselves out. Just 17 seconds after Maxime Clermont replaced Marc Cheverie in net, Andrew Rowe put home his fourth goal of the season and Darren Kramer followed with his first 56 seconds later. One goal was as close as Elmira got, though, because at 3:35 of the second Florida's Matt Marquardt scored his second goal of the game to return Florida's lead to two. Dustin Gazley chipped it back to one with his fifth of the season just under seven minutes later, but insurance tallies by Alex Hutchings (2nd) and Mathieu Roy (3rd) never let Elmira back into the game.

11/10 at Florida: L 3-5

Goals by Darren Kramer (1st pd.) and Matt Campanale (2nd pd.) spotted the Jackals a 2-0 lead over the Everblades, but Florida responded with four consecutive markers over the second and third periods to claim a 4-2 lead. Alex Hutchings had the hot hand with a pair of goals in that burst, and Brandon MacLean assisted on both of them. Jack Downing's second goal of the season at 15:16 of the third period gave Elmira life at 4-3, but Hutchings beat Marc Cheverie on a breakaway at 18:05 to cap his hat trick and salt away the victory.

11/11 at Orlando: L 3-5

For the second straight game the Jackals opened up a 2-0 lead against their opponent, but for the second straight game they could not make it stand up. After a scoreless first period that saw Elmira kill off a double minor high-sticking penalty to Kyle Bushee, the Jackals grabbed a pair of goals in the second period. Dustin Gazley and Darren Kramer each picked up rebound goals just under 13 minutes apart, and behind seven 24 saves through two periods by Maxime Clermont, the Jackals took the lead into the third. Orlando, however, rattled off five straight goals, and Elmira didn't answer until the final second of play with a power play goal by Jack Downing. Rob Mignardi and Kevin Baker paved the way for Orlando with two goals each while John Curry stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced.

Quick Hits:

* Darren Kramer has scored a goal in each of his first three games with the Jackals. He is now the team's leading rookie goal scorer (3), and is one game shy of matching Artem Demkov's team-best four-game goal streak from Oct. 19 to Oct. 27.

* Dustin Gazley's next point will be his 100th in the ECHL. He currently has 31 goals and 68 assists in his time with the Jackals. The second-year pro has registered at least one point in eight of Elmira's first 11 games.

* Kyle Bushee is three points away from his 100th in the ECHL. He currently leads Jackals defensemen in goals (2) and is second in points (6). He is on pace for 39 points which would set a new career high.

* Elmira is tied for third in the ECHL in first goals with eight. Only Gwinnett (11) and Ontario (9) have scored first more often. The Jackals are 5-3-0 when scoring first.

* The Jackals lead the ECHL in power play percentage (30.8) and are tied for fifth in power play goals (12) despite having the second-fewest power play opportunities (39) in the league. Only Fort Wayne (33) has been on the power play fewer times than the Jackals.
