The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Las Vegas 51s 6-3 Tuesday to split the four-game series. El Paso won five of its eight games on the two-city road trip.

Andre Rienzo made his second start of the season after spending most of the year in the bullpen and pitched five shutout innings. El Paso scored twice in the second on RBI ground balls by Diego Goris and Rocky Gale. The Chihuahuas added three more runs in the third on consecutive RBI singles by Nick Buss, Dusty Coleman and Goris. Las Vegas starter Sean Gilmartin has given up eight earned runs in 9.1 innings in his two starts versus El Paso this year.

Jose Pirela went 2-for-5, his third consecutive multi-hit game. The Chihuahuas collected 11 hits, their fifth double-digit hit total in their last six contests. Buss went 3-for-4 for El Paso Tuesday.

The Chihuahuas do not play on Wednesday.
