Kyle Lloyd got his first Triple-A win Wednesday after allowing only one run in 6.2 innings, as the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes 2-1 at Southwest University Park. The Chihuahuas moved past the Isotopes in the standings, into second place by themselves, two games behind first place Salt Lake. Albuquerque dropped to third, 2.5 games out of first.

Albuquerque's Jordan Patterson hit a solo home run in the top of the fourth, his sixth homer against El Paso this season in 12 games versus the Chihuahuas. El Paso plated both of its runs in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double by Christian Villanueva and a sacrifice fly by Diego Goris.

The Chihuahuas have won three consecutive games and seven of their last 10. El Paso turned three double plays in the win.
