Edwin Ubiles Signs with Washington Wizards

Bismarck, N.D. (March 19, 2012) - Edwin Ubiles (6-6, 204) has signed with the Washington Wizards making him the first GATORADE Call-Up for the Dakota Wizards this season and the 37th of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season.
Ubiles, a 2012 NBA Development League All-Star, has appeared in 35 games, all starts for Dakota this season, averaging 20.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 35.3 minutes. He posted a career-high 41 points in a 127-110 win over the Iowa Energy on Feb. 28 and has scored in double digits in 33 games.
A two-year starter at Siena, Ubiles was named MAAC Co-Rookie of the year in 2007 and to the All-MAAC First Team in 2008 and 2009. He was a member of the Puerto Rican National Team who won the Gold Medal in the 2011Pan-American Games earning All-Pan American Honorable Mention averaging 9.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The roster currently stands at nine players.
