FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Keys pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez has been selected to participate in the 2013 SiriusXM All-Star Futures game. A 20-year-old left-hander from Venezuela, Rodriguez was named to the World roster and will compete with other international prospects against a team of American prospects on Sunday, July 14.

In his first season at the Advanced-A level, Rodriguez is 6-4 with a 2.85 ERA in 14 starts and was named Baltimore Orioles Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May, when he went 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA in six starts. Cuban outfielder Henry Urrutia, a member of the Double-A Bowie Baysox, is the other Baltimore prospect on the roster. The SiriusXM All-Star Futures game starts at 2 p.m. at Citi Field in New York City on July 14th, part of Taco Bell All-Star Sunday, the first of three days of all-star events that culminate with the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 16.
