Edmonton Oil Kings Make 10 Selections at 2018 WHL Bantam Draft

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings selected a total of 10 players on Thursday, May 3 at the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft in Red Deer including five forwards, four defencemen and one goaltender.

The Oil Kings also completed four trades on Thursday, acquiring 20-year-old forwards Quinn Benjafield and Vince Loschiavo in addition to three draft picks.

"Overall as an organization we are very pleased with how the day went," said Oil Kings General Manager Randy Hansch. "A lot of credit goes to Jamie Novakoski (Director of Scouting) and our scouting staff as they put in a lot of long hours throughout the year in many rinks across Western Canada and the United States."
