( Edmonton) Edmonton Eskimo fans should have plenty to cheer about as the club released its 2012 schedule today.
The club launches its 64th season with a much anticipated visit from some familiar faces as Ricky Ray, Jason Barnes and the Toronto Argonauts pay a visit on Saturday, June 30th in the regular season home opener.
The regular season menu also features two visits from the Saskatchewan Roughriders, while the Calgary Stampeders will travel north for a pair of visits to Commonwealth Stadium. The defending Grey Cup champion BC Lions will make their only regular season trip to Edmonton on Saturday, September 22.
Eskimo President and CEO Len Rhodes says, "This is a very fan friendly schedule with six Friday nights and three Saturday games. The return of Ricky Ray to open the season will be a great way to kick things off in 2012."
For the pre-season, Edmonton will travel to Calgary on Friday, June 15th and return home to host BC on Thursday, June 21st.
